The Sommelier Association of India (SAI) is a non-profit organization, founded in 2024,
and is a “Member of the College of Applicants” of the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).
Our mission is to contribute to India's growth as a recognized hub for wine appreciation and expertise. We
strive to create a vibrant and inclusive community of wine enthusiasts and professionals, elevate the
standards of wine and other beverage service, and promote responsible and informed consumption.
We aim to foster a culture that celebrates the diversity of wines, both domestic and international, and
cultivate a new generation of sommeliers through education, events, and competitions. A key initiative of
SAI is organizing and managing the sommeliers competition in India, including the Best Sommelier of India
Competition, with winners advancing to international competitions such as the Best Sommelier of Asia &
Pacific and Best Sommelier of the World competitions. All proceeds from memberships, events, and
donations are used solely to further our mission and activities.

We offer yearly memberships to individuals and companies. By purchasing a membership,

• Non-Refundable: Membership fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including if you
choose to cancel your membership before the end of the yearly term.
• Membership Benefits: Members may be entitled to certain benefits, including access to exclusive
events, newsletters, and content. These benefits are subject to change at the discretion of the
Sommelier Association of India.
All content, trademarks, logos, and data on this website are the property of the
